IAPD Releases Video Highlighting Applications and Benefits of Performance Plastics

Overland Park, Kans. -— IAPD - The Performance Plastics Association is pleased to announce the release of the third video in a series designed to help member companies attract talent to the performance plastics industry. This series was proposed and guided by the IAPD Workforce Development Task Force.

In 2019, the Workforce Development Task Force formed to study issues IAPD members are having in attracting, recruiting and retaining professional-level and skilled trades employees. Two videos debuted at the 66th Annual IAPD Convention in September, one focused on career opportunities for professional positions and one on for skilled trades. These videos featured interviews with employees, who discussed what they liked about their jobs and working in the performance plastics industry, as well as a look at modern manufacturing and distribution.

The third video highlights the many varied applications and  that use performance plastics, the environmental benefits of performance plastics and how the industry performance plastics helps improve lives. The third video can be used in conjunction with the two previously released videos or on its own. It is designed to be an introduction to the industry and will help any IAPD member who is overcoming misinformation about the benefits of performance plastics.

“IAPD is excited to give these resources to the members to use immediately to enhance their talent recruiting efforts or educate their potential customers on performance plastics,” said IAPD CEO Susan Avery, CAE. “We’re thrilled with these videos and the impact they will have on the performance plastics industry as a whole. We encourage our members to post them on their websites, use them in social media or in their talent recruitment efforts.”

IAPD member companies can use the videos immediately as they are, or they have the option to co-brand one, two or all three of the videos with their company’s logo. A customization request form can be found here, and all three videos in the recruitment series can be viewed here
