IAPD Recognizes Polymershapes LLC's Suzette Plaisted with Prestigious President's Award

Overland Park, KS —The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), the international trade association comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacturer of performance plastics, recognized Suzette Plaisted for her outstanding contributions to the organization at the opening general session for the 61st Annual IAPD Convention and Plastics Expo on October 18 in Chicago, IL, USA.

Plaisted, new to the IAPD Education Committee, brought her rich experience in designing educational programming to IAPD's educational initiatives this year. She selflessly served as a resource for IAPD staff during the development of the expanded IAPD University Training Center. Plaisted also transformed the Introduction to Plastics book into classroom training curriculum that will be presented next year in a series of in-person training events. Plaisted has been a key advisor throughout the year on all the educational offerings.

"The President's Award is given to an individual or company who has gone above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of the association," said IAPD CEO Susan E. Avery, CAE. "Suzette is a tireless volunteer. Thanks to her outstanding efforts, IAPD is now able to offer a user-friendly online learning platform, expanded training options and the flexibility to quickly add new courses as needed. We look forward to rolling out the in-person training curricula she has developed."

Suzette Plaisted is the learning and development lead at Polymershapes LLC. She has been involved in the learning & development space for 30 years, leading training sessions from personal skills to developing training programs, in over 15 countries across the globe. Prior to joining Polymershapes in 2014, Suzette has worked for the American Red Cross, Lowe's Home Improvement, Wells Fargo Mortgage, & Accenture.
