Mitch Opalich, President of Indelco Custom Products, Elected IAPD President

Overland Park, KS — The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), the international trade association comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacture of plastic stock shapes and pipe, valves and fittings, has elected Mitch Opalich as its president for 2016-2017. He was voted in by the IAPD Board of Directors at the 60th Annual IAPD Convention and Plastics Showcase in Phoenix, AZ, USA on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 and officially takes office today for a one-year term.

Mitch Opalich started his career in industrial fabrication and distribution as president of Cleveland Plastic Fabricators and Suppliers, Inc. in Cleveland, OH, USA. Currently he is leading Indelco Custom Products, Inc., a subsidiary of Indelco Plastics Corporation based in Minneapolis, MN, USA. Indelco Custom Products, Inc. is a custom pipe, valves and fittings fabricator/distributor with three locations: Cleveland, Minneapolis and Memphis, TN, USA. Opalich has been actively involved in IAPD since 2006, having served as the chair of the Membership Committee and volunteered on the Nominating Committee and the Convention and Expo Committee. Opalich has been on the Executive Committee since 2012.

“Our association has never been in a better position than today: We are financially sound, our volunteer participation is at a high level, IAPD offerings are being utilized at record rates by members and we have clarity on direction,” said Opalich. “It is my intent to build on our current momentum and ask the volunteer leaders and staff to remain diligent, pushing forward with a purpose: to carry the IAPD flag and continue to build the value of our IAPD brand. ​
