The IAPD Charitable Foundation was established in 1981 as a non-profit tax exempt corporation to provide scholarships at the undergraduate level to employees of IAPD member firms and their children, as well as students majoring, minoring or concentrating in sales programs.

Money for these scholarships is generated by gifts from IAPD member companies and individuals in the performance plastics industry, as well as donations from the association and its for-profit subsidiary. The IAPD Charitable Foundation also hosts fundraising events each year during IAPD sponsored events. Donors to the IAPD Charitable Foundation may take advantage of tax deductions on Federal tax returns. A receipt will be provided for tax purposes. Scholarships awarded were up to US$3,500 in 2025. (Please consult a tax advisor for details.)
