2012 IAPD Convention Supplier Meetings

The 56th IAPD Annual Convention & Exhibition in Chicago, IL, USA, is nearing and we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some key events on the schedule and the open times for supplier meetings. As always, we hope to maximize attendance at the association’s key events.

IAPD Convention Schedule

The association’s leadership is focused on using the time at the convention to promote networking, collaboration on key industry issues and commitment to growing the market for distributed plastics. To help meet these goals, the IAPD Board of Directors is strongly encouraging participation in the General Session, Welcome Reception, educational sessions and the Plastics Expo.

In order to facilitate this participation, as well as provide for as much business networking and development to be accomplished during the short time together, specific open times have been designated where meeting rooms may be reserved directly with IAPD for supplier/distributor meetings. For further information on hosting a meeting room for your company, please contact Ashley Stewart, astewart@iapd.org or call 913.345.1005.   

Reserving Meeting Space

Meeting rooms at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center may be
reserved during the following times:

Monday, October 22	8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, October 23	8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, October 24	12:15 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 25	7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Friday, October 26	8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

 

Please do not schedule these meetings on-site at the convention center or off-site at other meeting venues to conflict with the following IAPD events:

• Tuesday, October 23, 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. — Welcome Reception
• Wednesday, October 24, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. — General Session
• Thursday, October 25, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. — IAPD Plastics Expo

 

Note that the afternoon after the general session during the educational sessions is open for supplier/distributor meetings to help maximize time for these meetings.

The IAPD convention is an opportune time to meet with your suppliers/distributors. To promote your efforts we have added the general time slots for these meetings on the schedule of events. However, we request that you honor the blocked-out times and events above and schedule your meetings, private parties/dinners or outings around these time slots.
