IAPD members band together following devastating tornados
This spring will go down in history as one of the deadliest storm seasons the United States has experienced. National Distribution Sales Manager of Polymer Industries Deborah Wright's relative, Deedra Pike, provided a video that she shot of the destruction of the Alabama area hit in April.
Several of Polymer Industries' employees were directly affected by the storms. IAPD and some of its generous members came to their aid. IAPD contributed $1,000, and sent out a press release immediately following the disaster, asking of its members that they too contribute to the cause.
Regal Plastic Supply Company of North Kansas City, Mo., USA, donated their $500 prize for responding to the IAPD Environmental Survey to the Tornado Relief Fund. A portion of the proceeds from the Atlanta Plastics Charity Golf Tournament was also donated, according to the event's organizer Adam Mellen.
Polymer Industries expressed their gratitude for all of the support they received. "We all want to thank you so much for your quick response to help our employees….We appreciate the IAPD's help on this and feel we are members of a great organization," Deborah Wright said in a recent email to Susan Avery CAE, IAPD Executive Director.
