IAPD Launches Robust Mobile-Responsive Website

Overland Park, KS — The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), the international trade association comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacture of plastic stock shapes and pipe, valves and fittings, has launched a new website. Built on a robust content management platform, the site is designed to help IAPD members easily access members’ only benefits, help non-member plastics companies learn more about the advantages of IAPD membership and provide the end-user audience with resources about industrial plastics.

Members, non-member companies in the plastics industry and end users are encouraged to click on the appropriate button on the home page of www.iapd.org and create a free account. They are then presented with a page of resources specifically for that audience. Members have easy access to the all-new IAPD marketing toolkit, logos they can download, IAPD’s affiliate partners and more. Non-member companies see the benefits of membership, along with links to IAPD’s training and business-building opportunities. The end user audience, comprised of engineers, designers, material specifiers, OEMs, MROs, students and faculty, among others, will be able to learn about the use of plastics in the top 26 most common markets for plastics, have access to IAPD’s archive of articles and e-training webinars, be able to easily find an IAPD member to help them with their plastics needs and more.

“I am pleased to announce the launch of the all-new www.iapd.org,” said IAPD CEO Susan E. Avery, CAE. “We recognized early in the development process that we have three distinct audiences who visit our website, and we wanted to offer a customized experience for each audience. With our new content management system, when a visitor logs in under their correct category — member, non-member plastics company or end user — they will be able to access the information that is most appropriate and meaningful to them.”

In addition to the new, clean design and the content management system, the website is mobile-friendly, dynamically adjusting to mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones and Android devices. The site also integrates with IAPD’s membership database, allowing IAPD members to log in and update their records with changes in their contact information.

IAPD plans to further enhance the website and add exciting new features in a phase two of the site, including enhancements for the “top markets for plastics” section, additional member account options and expanded plastics technical resources.
