Wayne Gono, Visionary/Chief Networking Officer of Regal Plastics Supply, Inc., Elected IAPD President

Overland Park, KS - The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), the international trade association comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacturer of performance plastics, has elected Wayne Gono as its president for 2018-2019. He was voted in by the IAPD Board of Directors at the 62nd Annual IAPD Convention and Plastics Showcase in Washington D.C., USA on Monday, October 1, 2018 and officially took office for a one-year term beginning on October 5, 2018, at the conclusion of the convention.  
 
Gono has been in the performance plastics industry for 39 years. He and his wife of 41 years, Patsy, were the second generation of owners of their family business, a small distributor based in Irving, TX, USA. Gono has served on the IAPD Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Membership Committee and Small Distributors Council. He is especially passionate about IAPD's government relations initiatives and Women in Plastics group.  
 
Gono's focus for his presidency will be member engagement. According to Gono, involvement in IAPD is an investment, not an expense. The time contributed to IAPD engagement pays dividends in terms of personal development and also takes the IAPD members' companies to the next level. His message to the attendees at the opening session of the 62nd Annual IAPD Convention and Plastics Showcase was to find just one -- or one more -- thing that you're passionate about and take that next step in engagement with IAPD.
