Curbell Plastics, Inc.'s Peter Delgado Receives 2018 IAPD Pacesetter Award

OVERLAND PARK, KS ̶ The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), the international trade association comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacturer of performance plastics, announced that the 2018 Pacesetter Award recipient is Peter DelGado during the opening general session of the 62nd Annual IAPD Convention and Plastics Showcase on October 3 in Washington D.C., USA. The Pacesetter Award is presented in recognition of an IAPD volunteer leader who sets the pace for the association.

DelGado served the association well as a member of the Board of Directors and several association board and working committees and task forces, then transitioned to being chair of the Membership Committee. As chair, he is maintaining the high standards for IAPD membership as defined in IAPD's bylaws during a year where membership is thriving. Under his leadership, new member companies are joining IAPD and showing that they are good stewards of the supply chain. Because of the high standards that he maintains, the IAPD Member status is a coveted goal for performance plastics companies.

"Peter's dedication to maintaining the standards for IAPD membership is apparent to all who have the pleasure to work with him, whether it's as a volunteer on the Membership Committee or the staff," said IAPD CEO Susan E. Avery, CAE. "He goes the extra mile when vetting new member applications and is tireless in his efforts to ensure that new members are warmly welcomed into the association. Peter embodies what it is to be a true champion of membership and is very much deserving of the Pacesetter Award." DelGado has been with Curbell Plastics for 32 years. He is currently the senior director of sales and customers service and is responsible for strategy, systems and training.

DelGado started his career in inside sales and served in many areas including branch manager, regional director and director of business development.
