PVDF Possibilities - Picking the Proper Grade of PVDF

PVDF Possibilities - Picking the Proper Grade of PVDF
IAPD Webinar: PVDF Possibilities – Picking the Proper Grade of PVDF for Industrial Applications Monday, May 17, 2021 • 1:00 p.m. Central Time (2:00 p.m. Eastern/11:00 a.m. Pacific)
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a high-performance polymer known for its high thermal stability, high purity and chemical resistance. In recent years, PVDF technology has expanded from a few grades to a wide range of copolymers with hexafluoropropylene (HFP), special formulations to enhance performance, special additives to improve processibility and various molecular weights to provide specific properties for an application. In the past, it may have been adequate to specify PVDF homopolymer per the ASTM D3222 standard to ensure that the material was functional for the application. However, with all the developments available now, specifying one form of PVDF over another may be the difference in application life expectancy of three months to more than 40 years.

This webinar will focus on:
- Different properties of the myriad of PVDF formulations.
- Design considerations for various end use applications.
- Case histories of where proper PVDF specification has solved problems for end users.

This webinar is designed to be advanced and instructional. Some of the discussion will be technical, so it is best suited for those familiar with PVDF. An advanced understanding of physical, mechanical and thermal properties of thermoplastics is a plus for attendees.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from Zoom with the link to join the webinar.
